There’s nothing like a good swim to get the heart racing and set the mind at ease. Feel free to take a dip in our outdoor infinity pool. It’s located on Level 1 (ground floor) and is open all year round from 7am – 9am and is heated during the summer months from November.

If you want to pump iron or sweat away some pounds, we have a gym located on Level 1 (ground floor).

Hiku is a modern all-day restaurant offering delicious, relaxed New Zealand fare. Hiku heroes local and serves seafood, farmed produce, wine and beer sourced from Kaikōura and its surrounds. Expect classics with a kiwi twist and beautiful flavours in a stylish and comfortable space, including an outdoor patio with mountain and sea views. Set yourself up for the day with Hiku’s buffet breakfast, available 6am - 10am, an all-day menu is available 10am - 5pm and dinner is served from 5pm - 10pm. With its contemporary design, vibrant atmosphere, in-door and out-door dining, Hiku is the perfect place to relax and refuel. Enjoy!

Our talented bartenders at Hiku can whip you up a hot or cold drink, mix you a cocktail or recommend beers, wines and spirits from our well stocked bar – which includes plenty of local flavour. We also offer a bar snack menu so you can enjoy a bite to eat with your drink. The bar is open from 11am.

We have plenty of parking at Sudima Kaikoura during your stay so you can just drive in and park where you like.

If you’re ‘peopled out’ or traveling has you hungry at odd hours or you just want to relax with breakfast in bed, no problems. A delicious room service menu is brought to you by the talented team at Hiku, available 24 hours. A $5 tray service charge applies to all in-room orders.

If you wish to check out later an hourly rate is applied. For check-outs after 4pm a full night accommodation rate applies. Alternatively, what we suggest and has proven popular is to check-out at the normal time of 11:00 am and utilise our luggage storage option for the day, which is free of charge.

Whether its extra blankets, pillows, ice for your drinks or information about what's on in the city, our friendly team at Reception are available to help you. 

If you have luggage you would like to store we can help you. This is also a popular option when you need to check-out but still have time to spare. Just simply check-out and leave your luggage safely with us while you do some sightseeing.
