Jhunjhnuwala Family – Māori and Pacific Youth Scholarship 2025
The Jhunjhnuwala family in partnership with Sudima Hotels are excited to offer the Māori and Pacific Youth Scholarship for 2025. This scholarship is designed to support Māori rangatahi and Pacific youth who are currently not in paid employment, education or training. It’s an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hotel operations while growing skills, confidence and leadership.

Eligibility
- Aged 16–24 years
- Pursuing or interested in a hospitality career
- Studying (or recently graduated from) hospitality, tourism, or events studies
Choose one of two tailored internships:

Te Aranuku (Focused Journey)
- Starts February and October 2025
- 3-month internship
- 20-30 hours per week (flexible around study)
- Ideal for a foundational experience for further studies or leading towards a specialist area of the hotel.

Te Ararangi (Full Circle Journey)
- Start date: October 2025
- 6-month rotational internship across departments
- 20-30 hours per week (flexible around study)
- Perfect for those seeking management pathways
- Rotations include: Rooms Division: Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Culinary: Food & Beverage, Kitchen and more, with the option of leadership shadowing.
