Very central to many things, good local restaurants and pick up location for tours. Beautiful Government Gardens and Polynesian Spa just steps away. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Views of Lake Rotorua from the hotel..
Impressed by the Sudima on this brief trip for a mini retreat. Great service including breakfasts and lunches. The hotel feels clean and fresh and with beautiful whakaairo and tukutuku. We were made welcome and nothing was a problem. Will be back..
I saw beautiful scenically of this hotel on Japanese TV. That's why we choose your hotel. After all we found it was the best choice ! Wonderful view of the like and fair price as we expected. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Went back mainly for the restaurant and chef did it for us again! Superb, service was great too. Really quiet spot, handy to spas, appears slightly below what we'd like of top notch clean appearance but is older building and other bathroom tiles would suit better.
Helpful staff, first class cleanliness, good food. Most helpful was a young man cleaning the windows, who offerred to help two elderly ladies with their luggage out to their car, with a smile and good wishes.
We stayed at the Sudima for a long weekend. The staff were great - friendly, helpful and happy to give pointers on what we could see and do. The room was clean, comfortable and had a great view of the lake. Will definately be back!
This is a big hotel on the edge of the lake and you can see thermal activity from the front of the hotel. Major attractions such as the Museum and Spa as well as the main shopping are all a short walk away. The Hotel has bookable complementary spas, both private and communal, and my wife and I enjoyed our time in a private spa and there was no one else around. Others in our group went to the nearby spa and paid $24 upwards for the same thing.
I had a King Superior room which was lovely - thick carpet, big bed - but I'll know next time to ask for a room with direct sunlight. That's my only quibble from my three-night stay: both the staff and the central location are excellent, and there's plenty of car parking available..
The beds were comfortable and room was quiet. The location was excellent very near to Polynesian Spa (book in advance) and for walking along the lake. It's gorgeous and there is an excellent Maori cultural and educational center nearby..
