At Sudima Hotels New Zealand, we take our environmental and social responsibilities very seriously. We continually strive to ensure our hotel procedures are friendly to the environment and to the welfare of our team.
Our local communities are very important to us and we support sustainability initiatives whenever possible. And this year is no different with Conservation Week coming up in September.
Every year our teams across the country organise projects in support of the week. Please join the team from Sudima Lake Rotorua as we go out to do a clean-up of our beautiful lake and surrounding areas. It's our contribution to our local environment so join us for a couple of hours - you'll be surprised how much we can clean up with an extra pair of hands helping us. Plus there's afternoon tea afterwards!
We will be removing rubbish from around the lake area and surrounding banks. Working bee starts at 1pm and ends around 3pm with afternoon refreshments.
What to wear/bring: gumboots are highly recommended, long sleeves and pants, jacket, hat/beanie, bring a water bottle and some snacks.
What we provide: Gloves and rubbish bags.
Conservation Volunteering is not only about caring for the environment – it’s about creating healthy communities.
