We have implemented additional processes and measures to enhance cleanliness and support the personal wellbeing of all guests and staff. We take the utmost care to ensure every stay is clean, safe and comfortable, and would like to share with you what we are doing to ensure your welfare so you can relax with peace-of-mind during your stay with us at Sudima Hotels.
Contact Tracing and Personal Protective Equipment:
Contact tracing is implemented across all areas of the business and PPE is available upon request.
Enhanced thorough cleaning protocols including increased deep cleaning and disinfecting of high touch areas, reduced contact at Check-In and Check-Out, contactless transactions, sanitised guest room key-cards, hand sanitiser stations, and social distancing indicators and signage when alert level requires.
Enhanced thorough cleaning protocols including increased deep cleaning/disinfecting of high touch areas, reduction of in-room high touch items/furnishings and new laundry protocols.
Food, Beverage and Conferencing:
Enhanced thorough cleaning protocols including increased deep cleaning and disinfecting of high touch areas, contactless transactions, hand sanitiser stations, and amended service offering, room layouts and social distancing indicators and signage when alert level requires.
Public Spaces and Facilities:
Enhanced thorough cleaning protocols including increased deep cleaning and disinfecting of high touch areas, ‘last cleaned’ charts displayed in public spaces and facilities.
Trained on the protocols and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health and local health authorities to ensure all hygiene practices and safety measures remain in place and are followed throughout the hotel. Social distancing, regular hand washing, reduction in use of and increased cleaning/disinfecting of high touch point areas, PPE available for use, and any team member who is unwell must stay home.

Rest easy, in the advent of Alert Level changes that effect the ability to travel we are offering flexibility on all bookings made direct with Sudima Hotels (via our website, email and reservations phone). Direct rates qualify for booking date changes. Booking amendments are subject to availability and fare differences may apply. For reservations made through a 3rd party, not directly with Sudima Hotels, please contact your respective booking agent.
Sudima Christchurch City is open during New Zealand’s COVID-19 Alert Level 3, 2 and 1 status, Sudima Auckland City is open at Alert Levels 2 and 1. We operate and adhere to strict guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health for each Alert Level, how we operate and what we offer changes according to the Alert Level status in the location of each hotel.
Application and maintenance of applicable Alert Level physical distancing and minimised or eliminated communal contact within the hotel.
Refrain from visiting the front/reception desk at Alert Level 3. If you need assistance for anything, please call reception. We will endeavour to assist all guests as promptly as possible. Applicable physical distancing and contact applies as required for each Alert Level.
Communal Facilities and Spaces
At Alert Level 3 all non-essential shared and communal areas in the hotel are closed. This includes the restaurant and bar, meeting and conference rooms and other shared spaces. At Alert Level 2 they are open but operate with social distancing requirements.
Guest rooms cannot be serviced at Alert Level 3 and will only be done once a guest has checked-out. If you require extra towels and amenities during your stay, they can be requested by calling reception. At Alert Level 2 rooms can be serviced, with social distancing measures in place.
Food & Beverage
We are required to make changes to our food and beverage offering depending on the Alert Level. During Alert Level 3 room service only is available. At Alert Level 2 our food and beverage facilities are open, with social distancing measures in place.
